Sickness During Pregnancy

One of the most common pregnancy symptoms is feeling sick in the first 14 to 15 weeks of pregnancy and affects three quarters of pregnant women. Here are some ideas to help you through this time:

• If you have an empty stomach your nausea will feel a lot worse. You should try to eat little and often because
• Ginger is a renowned natural remedy for nausea
• You should get out of bed slowly and try eating plain crackers or dry cereal before you get out of bed.
• Plain carbohydrates like dry toast, rice cakes,  or dry cereal can be helpful especially first thing in the morning before you get up when your blood sugar level will be at its lowest. Carbohydrates like these are slow burning foods, which prevent your blood sugar dropping and help ease nausea.
• Dehydration is the biggest danger of morning sickness.  Make sure you drink plenty of fluids like water, fruit juices, milk or perhaps herbal tea.
• Tiredness plays a big part in morning sickness. So try to take naps during the day.
• Try acupressure wristbands. These stimulate an acupressure point on your wrist which can help relieve the  nausea feeling.
