Cocooi Swaddling Baby Wrap

Tuesday, February 28th, 2012

The Cocooi Babywrap has been specially designed to ensure comfort and safety for newborns – 3 month old babies. Medical studies have found that babies and infants sleeping in or on merino settle better, cry less and gain weight faster due to a regulated sleep.

The first few months is crucial for your baby’s development and babies at this stage need plenty of sleep. Using the Cocooi Wrap in these first few months has been proven to settle babies quickly. Swaddling your baby replicates the similar cosy sensation of being inside Mum’s womb; providing a comforting, familiar environment for them to relax into.

Merino fibre draws away moisture from your baby, keeping them dry throughout the night and regulating their temperature.

The Babywrap comes with a merino beanie to keep baby’s head cosy when outdoors in the colder months. The Cocooi wrap is also car seat and stroller compatible with an opening for a three point harness to be used.

For use from newborn to around 3 months in age.

Baby’s Developement at 1 month old

Sunday, February 26th, 2012

At no other time in her life will your baby change, grow and develop as dramatically as in her during her first 12 months of life.

Babies grow at different rates so rest assured that her rate of development is almost certainly normal and if she seems not to have reached the same stage as others her age, she very soon will do. Here’s what to expect your baby to be doing at one month old:

In the first month, new parents and baby will be struggling to get used to each other and, for mum and dad, it can seem like a constant stream of questions – Is my baby getting enough to eat? Does the crying mean she has colic. And how many times a day is it okay to call the doctor?

By the end of the first month, you’ll have got the hang of  breastfeeding, bathing, burping and handling your baby and will have settled into a comfortable routine that, though still exhausting, is much more manageable.

And although your baby has been able to recognise you since she was a few days old, by four weeks she might even be showing obvious signs of recognition and will react differently to you than she does to strangers – making the sleepless nights and worry all worthwhile.

The former X-Factor singer says she ordered nothing but gherkins when she recently visited a McDonalds.

She said: “I had a cup just filled with pickles!â€

“Everyone knew I was pregnant at three months, I’m so big now.â€

Stacey is already mum to a son, Zac and was last year’s Celebrity Mum of The Year.

Top Tips For Baby’s 1st Birthday Party

Wednesday, February 1st, 2012
  • Keep a very watchful eye on the party area for hazards, such as forks or small, easily swallowed objects, and clear them away quickly.
  • Make sure you have a willing volunteer to take plenty of photos or unobtrusively wield a camcorder because you’ll be too busy!
  • Babies will play alongside each other, not together, so keep a variety of toys available within a large, safe floor space.
  • It’s crawling, walking and climbing time, so stair gates and fireguards are essential.
  • Provide breastfeeding  mums with somewhere quiet and private to feed if they wish.
  • Have somewhere clean, handy and well-equipped for nappy changing available.
  • Store away precious ornaments and breakables.
  • Keep pets well out of the way.
