Wednesday, April 14th, 2010

1.Put your feet up. Aching legs and ankles are a common problem in pregnancy. Give yourself regular breaks and take the pressure of your feet.

2.Listen to calming music. Take time out from the madness of life and whisk yourself away to a calmer place with the help of some relaxing music.

3.Massage is great for easing tension and relaxing the muscles.

4.Reflexology is a natural therapy that can be very relaxing, can relieve tension and help any pregnancy ailments you’re suffering from.

5.Antenatal yoga. This is designed for pregnancy can help tone up your body, but most classes also teach special relaxation tips too.

6.Relaxing your mind is just as important as relaxing your body, but it can be hard to do. Meditation or visualisation could help and there are lots of CD’s and classes available that teach it especially with pregnancy in mind.

7.Get some fresh air and sunshine.

8.Water! Water is another form of natural healer. Swimming is ideal during pregnancy as the water is supportive and it’s not too exhausting.

The most important part of the Christening gown or Christening outfit should be planned for well in advance in order to have correct style and size availability. If the fabrication is soft, the baby is more likely to cooperate during the ceremony.

Change of Clothing
One aspect of the baby’s special event that is often overlooked until it is too late is a change of clothing. It is advisable to remove the ceremony outfit as soon as possible after the ceremony. Changing your baby into a different set of clothing will allow your baby to be as comfortable as possible which will allow you to enjoy the rest of the celebration with family and friends.

Where Do You Want To Have Your Baby?

Monday, April 5th, 2010

There are several options for you to look at:

In Hospital – This is the most popular choice. There will be medical staff and equipment on hand and access to pain relief.

A Birthing Centre – This is more relaxing environment with access to equipment such as a birthing pool. The same midwife should be with you throughout. There is a possibility that you may need to be transferred to hospital if there are any complications.

At Home – If there are any complications you may need to go to hospital.

Choosing Toys For a New Baby

Friday, April 2nd, 2010

Newborn babies explore the world through touch. Cloth books are great with different textures and images to grab babies attention. Everything goes in babies mouth so make sure it is safe to chew. The more experiences you offer your baby the better it is for his development. Playmats and gyms will keep your baby interested. The mats that have arches will give baby something to reach out for. At six months your baby will be able to pass toys from hand to mouth which will encourage hand-eye coordination.
