Shower My Baby started as a small family company, as one of the first baby shower companies in the UK after our founder Stephanie Tiley was introduced to the idea of parties for mum to be whilst visiting her friend in Texas. Since the early days when Stephanie was balancing growing the business with 4 young children she has helped establish this party celebration in the UK and we now distribute our games, party ware and gifts around the world. Stephanie is still very much involved in the company with her role concentrating on the creative developments and she still heads the Sales Team. We very much look forward to receiving ideas and feed back on your baby showers and Stephanie tries personally to reply. It was whilst visiting my friend in Texas that she took me to a neighbour's Baby Shower Party. It really was so lovely and Mum-to-be looked so happy. The house was so beautifully decorated with balloons, banners and flowers. We played 2 games, 1 which involved tasting baby food and the other guessing mum-to-be's bump size. We ate lovely food then gave our gifts to her and all left with cute Baby Shower favours. It was a super afternoon. I thought to myself, "Why are we not doing this in the UK ?" I am 37 and a mother of 4 children and would have loved my friends to have organised a Baby Shower for me. At the end of your pregnancy you are getting a bit anxious and impatient and this type of party is just the thing to cheer you up and feel so very excited about the imminent arrival of your new baby.

It was from here that I began to host Baby Showers for my friends and family in order to produce a Baby Shower package for the UK host and Mum-to-be. After 2 years of research and party planning I have designed the 'Shower My Baby' party packs & other products, which really are the complete package. The party packs, specially designed for the UK , contain everything needed to create and organise a Baby Shower party - 8 page booklet with party ideas, tips and advice, plus invitation cards, gift list, checklist, suggested plan of events, keepsakes, printed party games, balloons, napkins, confetti, banner and more.

The thing I really love about Baby Showers is that all the attention is focused on Mum-to-be and a chance for her to spend quality time with her friends and family- have fun, have a laugh, share baby experiences and also pick up tips and advice from everyone. After all, as we all know, when baby arrives it is he/she who is centre of attention and not poor old mum! But then she can look back and remember her wonderful Baby Shower and how special she felt.

I am very proud to have recently received an award which was presented to me by Esther Rantzen OBE. This was a Highly Commended Award for Women In Business who has been Inspirational within their community. My certificate is proudly displayed in my home & I am now working towards my nomination for the award next year.
